The Magic Of Revlite

Are you planning to have your first Revlite session? Not to worry, we’re here to give you a low down on all things about Revlite. Before booking your first appointment, get to know if Revlite is right for you. What is Revlite? Revlite is a next-generation Q-switched laser technology, known as an aesthetic medical laser that offers a wide range of power and versatility. It is mainly used to target all sorts of pigmentations, without harming the surrounding skin for all skin types. It uses an exceptional shutter speed which produces nanosecond pulse, making the procedure safer since less heat will be involved in the process.   The Revlite Laser features the Photoacoustic Technology Pulse, that delivers very narrow pulse widths at peak energy even at larger spot sizes.  The trademark Photoacoustic technology is delivered through a superior flat-top beam profile without spikes that are prevalent in other Q-switched Nd:Yag laser.  This makes the treatment safe, effective and stable for the patient. What are the benefits? Revlite is loved by celebrities and busybodies as it does not take a lot of time.It has a lot of benefits and it has no downtime. It is used to remove varying discolorations such as freckles, acne scars, axillary hyperpigmentation (dark underarms), age spots, even-aged eyebrow tattoos. As a bonus, Revlite laser promotes collagen regeneration and minimizes pores, fine lines and wrinkles in the process so much so that we don’t really need to put a lot of makeup anymore. How does it work? Unlike Fractional lasers and other Skin Resurfacing procedures, Revlite has no downtime – There is No peeling and No scabbing so you can go back to your normal activity after treatment laser penetrates the pigments, breaks it apart, absorbed into the skin, and releases the pigments naturally through the lymphatic drainage. The skin rejuvenation setting does not remove the epidermal layer of the skin.  It uses a gentle laser that harmlessly passes through the upper layer of the skin, allowing the skin to heat and stimulate collagen under the skin.  This collagen will continue to develop after the treatment.  Over the next months, your body will slowly and naturally fill in wrinkles, open pores, and scars on its own. Having Revlite treatment is like having hot tingling sensation going through your skin. You might feel a slight discomfort due to the effects of the heat but rest assured that its only temporary. To help reduce the heat and discomfort, an ice pack will be applied to the affected area after the end of the treatment. What do you need to do before getting your Revlite treatment? Before getting your Revlite treatment, here are some pre-treatment reminders: Avoid using any whitening products a day before your treatment. Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun. This treatment is not applicable to pregnant women. What to expect after the treatment? After the treatment, you might experience redness, mild swelling, and a little bit of discomfort which is normal, but after few hours it will subside. What other skin pigmentation Revlite can help reduce? It can help lighten pimple scars, reduce melasma, freckles, age spots,...

It’s hard to be a woman especially with all the expectations in our society to look a certain way – We are expected to have a great body, flawless skin and to have visible hair in the underarms is just unacceptable. With proper diet, exercise and the right attitude, all these can be arranged.  Go to the gym or try Cohen to get that rockin’ body!  As for flawless skin and hair – that is where we come in!   Skin House Beauty and Laser Clinic happen to have the so-called “Rolls Royce” of laser hair removal machines. GentleMax Pro is a combination of the fastest and most powerful 755 nm Alexandrite laser with the 1064 nm long pulse ND:YAG laser.  What this means is that we have Diode, Alexandrite and ND:Yag which provides us the capability to offer the best treatment for all Skin Types.   Photo Courtesty of Syneron Candela Syneron Candela, the maker of this machine, is after all the global leader in the medical aesthetic marketplace.  When you ask a non-biased dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon, they will tell you to go to a practice that offer different varieties of LASERs so you can find the one that is more suited for your hair and skin type. Unlike other laser hair removal machines, GentleMax Pro has a patented Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) that provides consistent, epidermal cooling and unparalleled comfort for the patients. DCD prepares skin for treatment by selectively spraying the upper layers (or epidermis) with a cooling burst of cryogen in adjustable spray/delay durations, milliseconds before the laser pulse. DCD’s unique design provides excellent visibility throughout the entire process, is operator independent, and will provide the same epidermal protection no matter how fast the laser is fired. This balances the heat so there is not much discomfort.  With this amazing technology, there won’t be any need for cooling gel, which tends to be a little messy when doing Full Bikini or Brazilian and Legs.  Treatment for lower legs only takes about 30 minutes, including the spot test, which takes up around 3 to 5 minutes. Imagine, underarm laser only takes around 10 minutes?  You’re in and you can just go out to go about your merry ways.  Furthermore, the FDA has approved GentleMax Pro for permanent hair reduction.   Just to give an overview: Alexandrite also known as GenteLase is a very powerful near infrared laser hair removal machine for patients with lighter skin types I-III. These are Caucasians and Asians with very light skin tone. It has excellent pick up by melanin (skin and hair pigment), which makes it great for patients with lighter skin tones, but not a good option for those with darker skin.  Alexandrite laser provides quicker, safer and more effective results compared to other lasers with proper settings.  Since it has the shortest pulse duration (or cooking time), it can also effectively lase thinner or lighter pigmented hairs.   Long Pulse ND:Yag also known as GentleYag is an infrared laser that is most effective for patients with Skin Types IV-VI.  The principle behind laser hair removal is selective photothermolysis,...
