You won’t need to cover anything up when you’re done with RevLite. No wonder this is the treatment every girl wants but cannot have, or at least used to, because now, we are offering Revlite Laser at affordable prices. The RevLite EO Q-switched Nd:YAG Laser from ConBio, A Cynosure Company is an evolutionary step in the Company’s MedLite® series of lasers, which transformed the Asian aesthetic industry 20 years ago. Today, the RevLite is not only a preferred gold standard among Asian physicians for pigmentary issues, it stands apart as a multi-wavelength aesthetic laser that treats a wide-range of indications.   Revlite Laser makes use of the PhotoAcoustic Technology Pulse (PTP), which is gently delivered deep into the skin without harming the skin’s surface. This shatters the clusters of pigment resulting in an immediate noticeable lightening effect. Aside from underarm discoloration, it is very effective for age spots, melasma and tattoos too.   Underarms   Patients who used to pluck, wax or shave is always left with dark underarms. Not everyone is a good candidate with underarm skin peeling, that some patients are left with darker skin tone than when they started. Factors that may cause this is excessive sweating, hormones… Or, the patient simply does not respond well with peeling.   RevLite is a painless treatment that whitens the underarms with no downtime. It even removes the hair as a side effect. No need to be embarrassed when you have Revlite, it treats chicken skin too.   Elbows, Knees and Bikini   It is common to see women with discoloration in their elbows, knees and bikini because these areas are more prone to friction and are normally dry. It is advised to moisturize and hydrate these areas before treatment, and let Revlite do the rest.   Face   Revlite laser toning is a non-invasive treatment that uses light energy to gently stimulate collagen production, pore reduction, remove pigmentation, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.   Revlite works in that it stimulates the development of new collagen. Collagen is the protein that holds our skin together that breaks apart as we age due to years of sun exposure and other factors. The overall effect is improved color and texture that will make the face more radiant.   The Revlite emits light in rapid, short pulses at high peak energy for maximum efficacy and comfort. The impact feels like no more than the rubber band snapping. Results can be seen in 5 to 10 sessions.   For more information regarding Revlite treatment, contact the following branches: Quezon City  0917.898.7546 or 02.254.3987 Pasig              0917.829.0990 or 02.542.4106 Clinic Hours Mon, Wed to Fri 11am to 8pm Sat & Sun             10am to 7pm Tuesdays...

Knowing Your Glutathione

GLUTATHIONE is the master antioxidant that counteracts free radicals, boosts the immune system and detoxifies the liver.  Normally produced by our body, our glutathione levels take a dip at age 45 to 50.  Stress, cigarettes, caffeine, alcohol poor diet, toxins, over-the-counter medications, aging and a lot of the mundane things in our life deplete the body of this important antioxidant.     What are the benefits of Glutathione?   Glutathione is the master antioxidant, which means that it has the ability to bind itself to toxins and free radicals for removal from our body through urine or bile.  Glutathione has 3 amino acids – cysteine, glycine and glutamic acid.   The most important of which is the sulfur-rich amino acid is cysteine that traps toxins in the body.  This is rich in eggs, garlic and whey protein.  Aesthetically, patients take glutathione for its whitening side effect, whilst others take it because it decreases the effects of aging and increase longevity.   What are the side effects of Glutathione?   Side effects that are possible with Glutathione include hypersensitivity reaction (allergic reaction), palpitations, chills, fever, insomnia and rash.  It is advised for patient to eat before having glutathione injected.   How soon can patient see the whitening effects of Glutathione?  Is it better to have Intravenous Glutathione compared to Oral Glutathione?   The effect would depend on the patient’s skin type.  Most patients would notice glow on their skin after 2 weeks.  IV Glutathione has faster onset of action compared to the oral glutathione.   Does Glutathione have anti-aging effects as well?   Yes, glutathione has anti-aging effects since it helps our body eliminate toxins and wastes that may hasten our aging process.  It will also help to try placenta injection in conjunction with glutathione for this purpose.   At what age can the patient start having IV Glutathione?   When patient is of legal age, and is able to give full consent to the treatment.   Is it safe to do IV Glutathione indefinitely?  What would be the suggested frequency of IV Glutathione once desired lightening is seen?   There is a limit if IV Glutathione will be done for life.  As much as possible, when lightening effect is already observed, one may shift to oral glutathione which is safer.   Aside from pregnant women, who are contraindicated with IV glutathione?   Patients who are breastfeeding, and those with hypersensitivity reaction would be contraindicated with Glutathione.  In addition, patients with severe liver, kidney problem, uncontrolled diabetes and thyroid problem would be contraindicated as well.   Can a person with liver problems benefit from IV Glutathione?   Yes, patients may benefit as long as liver is not severely damaged since the liver has to process the glutathione being injected as well.   How about a person with Hepa B?   There are no studies yet that a person with Hepa B may benefit from Glutathione.   What would be the brand of choice by dermatologists?   Definitely, one that is BFAD approved.   What are the suggested dosages to get the best effect?  How many times a week can a...
